When do I replace a head? Every 3 months, says Philips. The blue reminder bristles fade as the head wears.
Do I need a smart handle? No. It works on any click-on Sonicare. On BrushSync handles it also picks the mode and tracks when to replace it.
Will a black head work on a white handle? Yes. The colour is only cosmetic, and the fit is the same.
Prefer white? Get the white 2 pack (HX9042/14).
